When people ask me why Levi's & Hunter's hair is long, my response is "It's for their Halloween costumes." Then, the question is "What are they going to be?" My family this year are going as X-men. But apparently people don't know who they are! How can that be? We love X-men! So let me share our inspiration for our Halloween costumes...
Professor Charles Xavier: also know as Professor X is the ring leader and founder of the "X" men. As a high-level telepath, he can read, control, & influence human minds. This will be Jim...he just needs to shave his head & wear a suit, easy right? He will not be in a wheel chair.
Jean Grey/Phoenix: she is Professor Xavier's 1st hand woman. He is a father figure & mentor to her. She posses great power & struggles to control it. She also has telepathic powers in addition to being telekinetic. Of course, I will be her =)
Storm: she has the power to control all aspects of the weather. Professor X recruits her to be a leader of the X-men. KateLynn will be Storm. She's excited she gets to wear a white wig.
Wolverine: also known as Logan. He is one of Professor X's "rebel" team. He's an "animal"...pun intended. He has animal-keen senses & an ability to heal, which makes him virtually indestructible. We love us some Wolverine! Can you tell?...that's how Logan got his name! Levi will be him, hence the long hair.
Beast: has superhuman strength & agility. He is a brilliant man of the sciences, arts & math. He is a biochemist & doctor. He also works with genetics. Hunter will be the Beast and so he too has long hair that will be died blue.
Gambit or Cyclops? We haven't decided if Logan will be Gambit or Cyclops. I'm pretty sure he will be Gambit because we love him, but the costume will be more difficult for a 1 year old. Gambit: also known as Remy LeBeau. He's a N'Owleans (New Orleans) boy & gambler. He has the ability to take objects and change their energy into kinetic energy. When these objects are thrown at targets they then explode on impact. His main form of weapons are a deck of cards that he throws with amazing accuracy.
We can't wait! It's going to be so fun....

Oh, Angel, you know I'm worse than that because we've known what we were going to be back in Nov. We try and think a few Halloweens in advance when it comes to costumes. We keep a few ideas in the back of our minds....This year, is a "shout out" to Rocco. You know he loves X-men too!
