Well, my new calling is the Primary Secretary. However, since we don't have anyone called to anything yet, we're all doing overtime! The 1st week I was called, I did sharing time & singing time. That was a blast! I had so much FUN! I received my calling Sunday morning and by Monday night I had made chair covers, a mailbox, popsicle sticks & jars, and door hangers for the Primary. I was just so excited that I had to get started right away!!! For the last few Sundays, I have been doing the Singing Time and I will sub again this Sunday. It's so much fun to help the kids learn the Primary songs...especially since I think it is the most important part of Primary. That's just my brief overview and now I will show what I've been working on. First, let me just say, that if I could have any calling it would be the Primary Secretary. You get to be in Primary (which I love) and get to do all of the fun "crafty" things: Like birthdays, spotlights, talk assignments, bulletin boards, and other odds and ends!
I made some chair covers out of felt for the kids who were doing the talk, scripture, and prayer. They were super simple, because I just hot glued them (because I don't know how to sew.) They were a perfect fit.
Here is the Popsicle Jar and sample stick...This is what we use to pick the kids to help in Primary. Green means they can be picked and red dot means they've already had a turn.
For my Singing Time, I made "singing balls" which are tennis balls decorated with faces. Levi & KateLynn helped with the decoration, as you can tell. But basically, you use them to pick songs out of the "mouth." I cut slits in the tennis balls and put slips of paper in their mouths with songs on them. The kids LOVED it. I also have been using "magic singing spray" (pink lemonade in a spray bottle) to help them sing louder. If they're singing loud, they get a squirt of the singing spray!

I'm LOVING my calling as the Primary Secretary and am enjoying my time as the Singing Time sub...I can't wait to do more creative things for the kids!

You're right. That singing ball is super cute! I'll have to make one if I'm ever in Primary. Actually, I might suggest it to our nursery leader. All your cute projects are going to be much appreciated...especially by the children, obviously from their shown excitement. I know they LOVE having you in there.
I would definitely say you have been busy. I don't see why the kids wouldn't love you. You're so creative and a big kid yourself
I am so impressed! Keep posting those ideas girl 'cause I'm gonna steal them all for my primary! I am officially adding you to my blog roll.
