KateLynn's Baptism

I'm playing catch up, so one of the things I wanted to post was KateLynn's Baptism. She was baptized Dec. 21st, 2007 with her cousin Jared in San Antonio, TX. Since we were out of town for Lizzy's Sealing, we decided to have her baptized in the hotel swimming pool, so all the family could be there. It was so AMAZING!! We went up on the roof and it was sunset and the perfect weather to be outside. The view was breathe taking and really set the spirit for the event.

We got dressed in Ethen & Rebekah's hotel room before starting. Papa presided, Rocco read a scripture, Ethen said the prayer, and Alex & Ethen were witnesses. It was unbelievable because it was just our family there. It felt intimate and just right. KateLynn was very nervous about going into the pool because she can't swim. She was sure her daddy was going to try and drown her!

After KateLynn & Jared were baptized, we went to Alex's hotel room for the confirmation. On the way there, I asked KateLynn how she felt. She said that when she "went under the water and came out, she felt like Jesus was holding her and hugging her." I was sure she was going to say something like she was scared or nervous because of what she was feeling before. But it's amazing how the spirit works and conforts us and confirms when we do what is right.

Papa did KateLynn's confirmation. Jim was affraid he would mess up, so he felt more confortable having Pop do it. The entire evening was so spiritual.

After the baptisms, we went to Rain Forest Cafe for dinner. The kids liked that. It was a perfect ending to a great day!
