Main Event!

After we had our St. Patrick's Day breakfast & tried to catch the leprechaun, we got dressed & realized KateLynn was the only one with a closet full of green! I had 1 green shirt (which I wore), Levi ended up wearing one of KateLynn's shirt that had green on it (a girl shirt to match his girl hair), Dad had 1 shirt that was like a light sea foam green (that had to do), Hunter had a smidgen of green on his sports shirt, & Logan had to wear a green bib because that's all I could scrounge up! Man, I guess green just is not our color!

We rushed out the door for Main Event to be there by 9am. We were going to be spending 7 hours there for all you can play bowling, laser tag, glow putt putt, shuffle board, & pool for only $16/person. We knew it would be crowded so we wanted to get there early & enjoy ourselves before the crowd hit. It worked, we pretty much had the place to ourselves until about 11am & then the line was out the door! By then we had already golfed & played shuffle board. There were hour long waits for bowling lanes & laser tag (not to mention the other things, but we had already done them) by 11:30. We had a plan though, that worked out great! We put our name down for laser tag when it was only a 30 min. wait & played arcade games while we waited. Meanwhile we put our name on the bowling list at the same time b/c theirs was an hour wait, so by the time we were finished doing laser tag it would be time to bowl! Our strategy worked out perfect & we didn't have to wait for anything! KateLynn, Levi, & myself did laser tag (the 1st time) while Jim, Hunter, & Logan continued to play arcade games (b/c Hunter was too short to do laser tag.) Then, when we were finished with laser tag, it was time for us to all go bowling. We bowled for an hour, during which time Jim had put his name on the list for bowling again & we had our name on the list for laser tag again. About 10 min. before our hour time of bowling was up, I fed Logan & then the older kids & I were off again to play laser tag, while Jim & the younger boys had another hour of bowling. When we finished laser tag, we jumped on the tail end of Jim & Hunter's bowling game. We were on the go so much that we literally didn't eat! Ok, Ok, we did have 1 tub of popcorn & 2 sodas, but we didn't know we were starving until it was time to go. We went straight to Chili's & chowed down. We didn't realize how much we were running around until we came home & felt sore & exhausted! But we had a BLAST!!!

He kept getting 2's mostly. No one got a hole-in-one, but a few were close. If you notice the score card, we messed up somewhere.The kids kept wasting their money on this game. But it reminded them of "the claw" from Toy Story :-)Next was shuffle board:

He scored 6 pts. each of the last two rounds, which put us over the top for the WIN...He was the only player to get his disc in the 4pt spot!Nice try Dad, but Levi's got you beat!We WON!!! 15+ to 12...we scored more than 15pts. but it only let us go to 15.Hunter was ready to do the games!KateLynn playing too...Dad & the boys playing a game together...Intense!Levi said this was his favorite thing of the day (and laser tag of course.)Dad can't break for a picture...Levi trying to play these stupid games again. I told him you never win anything in them. They're rigged! Levi proceeds to prove me wrong...1st try he gets some funky purple pig!Levi with his prize...Then Hunter wants a go, so Levi helps Hunter get a prize the 1st time too! What is going on?! The boys with their prizes...KateLynn is ready to get one now...However, I won't let her go for the penguin that she wants b/c it's shoved up against the glass. She also gets a prize the 1st time, but is NOT happy with the puppy. I told her to be glad she got anything, b/c it was freakishly rare to see all 3 prizes dropping back to back!Time for Laser Tag!!!

We lost because I was too busy trying to run with a camera! But I told Levi, we would get him the next game...and of course we did!We were hot & sweaty when we got finished with the game. No, but she said even though it hurt her crotch, it was still a blast...

Time to eat & go HOME!!! Thank you, Main Event, it was awesome!
