Luck of the Irish!

This year we decided to catch us a Leprechaun! Since this was our 1st attempt & the kids don't believe in them anyway, it was going to be VERY tricky! The whole time we were setting up the trap the kids kept saying "There's no such things as leprechauns...right, Mom?" It was funny because they weren't 100% sure if there were leprechauns or not. So we set the trap in hopes of catching one of those mysterious creatures. *Warning - my kids never have clothes on, so enjoy the "undies" shots...

1st Step: Leprechauns love "Lucky Charms"2nd Step: Mom ... uh & leprechaun prepare treats
"Taste the Rainbow"Rainbow Jello Parfaits:
Rainbow topped green loaf cakes:The "Spread" the kids found that the leprechaun left behind...Rainbow fruit kabobs, Green punch complete with Irish mugs, Brownies with green frosting, & the Rainbow Jello parfaits:Treats left for the kids:
3rd Step: Wake up kids to see what we've caught!
Hunter stayed up late...can you tell? :-)I see footprints! The trap is empty...That sneaky leprechaun got out!He went running through the house & even ran across Hunter's car table & cars!He flipped over a couch cushion & ran across the couch:But Hunter is on the "gold" trail...He flipped over a dining room chair!Ignore my dirty floor - I'll blame it on the leprechaun...that little booger ran over a chair & across the dining room floor:The leprechaun ran across the table! The boys looking at the foot prints & treats...He even ran across Levi's shoe! Hunter said, "OK, I'm officially freaked out now!" LOL!And then straight out the front door...Man, he got away! Maybe next year...Hunter said, "It's YOU, Mom!" :)4th Step: Enjoy the spoils!Logan (4 mos. today) even got his pot-o-gold...I think he likes it or maybe it's Dad he's smiling at.Of course he's naked too! What is it with my kids!?We had to eat fast because we had a full day ahead of us at Main Event. We were going to do unlimited bowling, laser tag, putt putt, shuffle board, & pool from 9-4pm. We wanted to get there early to get our money's worth & fit everything in...so off we went -[details found on next post.] Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Love it so cute! I wish you would have recorded their reactions, because I know your kids are full of expressions. It would have been funny

You didn't tell me you were going to do this! I remember our teachers in kindergarten did something for us similar to this. I remember running all over the school chasing footprints, just to come back to the classroom to find treats and pots of gold left behind while we were gone on our hunt. hahaha...it was sooooo fun! You're an awesome mom! I love Hunter saying he was officially freaked out...hilarious!
