Bridal Shower

KateLynn's teacher is getting married this Saturday, so we decided to throw her a bridal shower at the end of Teacher Appreciaton Week (Friday.) One of our room mom's (Sheila) and I got a key from the secretary and decorated the room the night before the shower. We hung up white Christmas lights, hung bells from the door, had pink heart balloons on the tables, we tied tulle bows on the back of each child's chair, we had little champagne glasses with grapes & a bling ring in each one for the kids, we had a guest book for the kids to sign, bubbles for the kids to blow, and a donut wedding cake! Everything turned out super cute, the kids had a blast, and Ms. Edmundson loved it!

Decorating:The Cake:
(We decided on a donut cake, since the bridal shower was in the morning)
I was at Krispy Kreme @ 5:30am to pick up 6 dozen donuts for the cake. I put fresh white flowers on the cake and little pictures of each student. It was very easy and SUPER cute! Everyone came to check-out the cake. The entrance:
The kids were blowing bubbles when their teacher entered the classroom. Some of the room moms put a tiara & white boa on her before she entered. The Game & Fashion Show:
We split the kids into 4 groups and they had to design a wedding gown for Ms. Edmundson out of toilette paper and tulle. Afterwards, they got to model the gowns for everyone. One of the boys was so into it and was a fantastic "bride."Group 1:

Words of Wisdom:
We had the students write marriage advice for their teacher on hearts and put them in a vase for her. KateLynn's was "Always have a joyful mood." Good advice KateLynn!KateLynn enjoying herself and signing the guest book:
The volunteers:
We had a lot of FUN! Congratulations Ms. E and thanks for being such an awesome teacher!

Ok, Mary, that made me cry! Aww! That was sooo sweet! I even knew about it in advance, and it still choked me up. I bet that was the best thing she got for her wedding!

you are the best Mary! I really wish you lived here, so some of that creativity would rub off on me. I love doing stuff, but you have ALL the great ideas!
