Flash Mob!

Today we participated in a "Flash Mob" for good. Glenn Beck has been challenging his listeners (and their friends) for about a month to be a 'force for good' in their communities. Today, April 21st, was the day he picked to go out in our communities (a Flash Mob if you will) and help encourage those around us by donating food to those in need or other acts of service. He suggested we go to an unemployment line, shelter, VA hospital, or food kitchen to donate food to those people that are struggling right now. With so much hate and chaos in the world today, we need more visible signs of light & good! Our communities & neighbors need to know that they're not alone. As a community, we can get through anything!

For our act of service, we decided to go to our local food pantry. I put KateLynn & Levi in charge of filling the grocery bags with items to donate. They did an awesome job! They had a whole array of items: snacks, cereal, spices/seasonings, canned goods (veggies, tomatoes, & fruit), veg. oil, spaghetti, pasta sauce, salsa, taco seasonings, tuna, butter, hot dogs, pancake mixes, juice, & more items that I can't remember. They ended up filling 15 bags of groceries! I took KateLynn & Levi with me and Hunter & Logan stayed home with dad.
