We decided to go to the San Antonio Tea Party, instead of the Dallas one because Glenn Beck was going to broadcast his show live from the Alamo. We love crazy Glenn Beck and as a fellow "crazy" we thought we would go down there and support him! The kids got to skip school for the day!
We left late Tues. night for the 5 hr. drive. My friend from work, Alex, rode with us and then we met up with Matt & Lindsay (who are my "regulars" that I wait on at work.) We got to SA at 3:00am, checked in the hotel and woke up at 8:00am to have breakfast. We went back to the room and made our shirts and signs. Our hotel room over looked the Alamo, so we could see when people would start arriving. We checked out of the hotel at 11:30 and went to set up our chairs for the "show." It was very hot and Glenn's show didn't start until 4:00pm. It was a long wait, but we had a good time talking to others and looking at everyone's signs. People are so creative! I will post my favorite sign phrases...

Anyway, I have a ton of pictures to show so I won't write too much. But needless to say, the Tea Party was AMAZING!!!! Ted Nugent played the Star Spangled Banner and was a great speaker. My voice was completely sore after we left from all of the screaming! We were packed in there like sardines (almost 20,000 people), but we were in the FRONT and had a great view of everything (it payed to be early.)

I am so proud of you!!!! I think it's awesome you took the kids, and are teaching them great principles to be involved. I LOVE the signs...excellent phrases...makes you think. Y'all had great seats! Two thumbs up for you and your family! Y'all represented well!
