Coming to a Tea Party Near You!

For a long time, I have been feeling frustrated with our government and the actions that they are taking. I've been meaning to "blog" about it, but haven't (I will soon.) My (our) voice needs to be heard if we don't like what's going on in Washington, so I have decided to attend a "Tea Party." No we won't be drinking tea. LOL

I urge y'all to Join me on April the 15th...I will be participating in the "Tax Day Tea Parties" that will be held all over the country.

The time has come to put down the party labels of Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian. There is no political party that accurately represents our conservative ways. We must end the bitter infighting between parties to enact a solution. I will attend the Dallas rally with my whole family, not as a Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian, but as a citizen of the United States of America. I see the path this nation is taking, and I fear for our freedom! A nation that once prided itself on self sufficiency and freedom, has become co-dependent on an oppressive legislation. We have traded our pride, and our drive for success for worthless attributes like self righteousness and a sense of entitlement. But for the sake of our forefathers, who fought and died for our freedom and prosperity, and for the sake of our children who will yearn for the opportunity we have now, we must try, we must seek, we must wholeheartedly endeavor to preserve this great country. God bless the United States of America.

I keep thinking of those famous words of Benjamin Franklin when after months in a heated room at Independence Hall the forefathers finally hammered out our Constitution, and as he was coming out of the building, a citizen asked him, “What have you given us?” He turned and said, “A republic, if you can keep it.” Why are we having these "tea parties," I would say, we are trying to keep our republic. We are trying to keep this government to still be “a government of the people, for the people, and by the people.”

WE CAN do this!!!!!

Awesome! I'm glad you're doing your part! Now you can stand blameless at the last day, knowing you did what you could do, instead of being complacent to let things be. You go girl!!!
