1st Day of School...

Finally, the 1st day of school arrived!!! The kids were way excited. They did a wonderful job getting dressed all by themselves. The kids were supposed to wear their school colors: Red, White & Blue. Since it was the 1st day, I wanted to be a little more dressed up than a t-shirt, so I put them in matching polos and shorts.

You know me, always coordinating everything with my kids!!! Levi kept asking when he would get to ride the bus. I told him I was taking him to school that morning and then he would ride the bus home. Jim stayed home from work, so he could watch Hunter so I could take pics of the kids at school. Thank you, Honey!

I made some brownies for the kids to give to their teachers. Jim told me I was going to make the teachers fat. Please, I'm just trying to give them energy!

I took Levi to his room 1st and took pictures

He met some of his little friends from preschool outside his classroom, so I took their photo. Then, I left the chaos to take KateLynn to her classroom. She didn't need help and she kept telling me that. But I told her, I know but I'm taking pictures, so suck it up!
I took her picture and then went back down stairs to Levi's classroom.

I ended up staying in Levi's classroom for an hour!!! There was a little boy crying for his mommy and wouldn't stop. I could see that Mrs. Douglas was trying to take role and photos with the other kids, basically a lot to do and no one was helping. So I stepped in and started trying to distract the little boy and play with him. Mrs. Douglas was like THANK YOU! I couldn't believe no one else was doing anything. Anyway, so Mrs. Douglas was able to get some things done and another teacher's assistant was able to relieve me of my "burden." Crazy!

Mrs. Douglas is going to make sure she gets Hunter when it's his turn. Books, brownies, help with crying kids...how can she live without you? I know she is thrilled to be the teacher of your kids.

The kids look super cute all coordinated.

Mrs. Douglas was probably thinking. Shut up kid and give me my brownies!
